In addition to carefully planned services, the mission of the Paraplegic Home Pacug in Portorose is to make residents feel comfortable and experience the warmth of home. To keep them warm in winter and not too hot in summer. This is a challenge, as temperatures on the coast can be unbearably high in summer, while winter brings the possibility of strong winds. Therefore, efficient heating and cooling are important investments for the investor.
The challenge presented to our experts by the investor was the high consumption of hot sanitary water (HSW). We offered them a heat pump with a patented booster system. This means that we can heat HSW up to 70 °C and thus meet not only the residents’ requirements but also the sanitary inspection requirements (anti-legionella operation). An additional cost burden for the investor was the pool, which needs to be appropriately heated at all times, requiring a significant energy consumption. However, this concern is completely eliminated with our heat pump. An important feature of our WPL 70 heat pump is that, through the booster system, it enables cost-effective cooling of cold water even in summer.
Planning, designing, execution, advice, supervision, service diagnostics, comprehensive support in installing the heat pump – the investor could entrust us with all their concerns. KRONOTERM supports the user at every step. Our extensive support system allows for quick access to information and timely resolution of any issues that may arise. With our experienced experts, we guided the Paraplegic Home Pacug through an investment in more economical guest comfort.
A special project holds great value as it posed a unique challenge of simultaneous cooling and heating on the coast. Since it involves caring for residents who need additional care and more comfortable living, opting for our heat pump was a smart choice. The WPL 70 heat pump simultaneously cools and heats sanitary water, saving the investor additional costs. In addition, cold water for air conditioning is available all the time, attributed to the extremely high efficiency of our heat pump. With annual savings in mind, the investor is aware that the entire investment will pay off in just over three years.
