HEAT PUMPS: WARM IN WINTER, COOL IN SUMMER

With a heat pump, you can easily adjust your home's temperature using an app, switch between cooling and heating modes, and even cool your house remotely before you arrive. You can also set operating schedules that fit your daily life without having to think about your home's temperature.

Are you prepared for a summer with record-breaking temperatures? Hot days have become a regular part of our lives, seriously threatening our health and well-being. Air conditioners help improve our living conditions, but is there a better solution? The answer is YES – heat pumps!

Why are heat pumps a better solution than air conditioners?

Air conditioners have been cooling our homes for decades, but they come with many drawbacks. They are noisy, can be unsightly, and typically only provide cooling. When winter arrives, we have to invest in a separate heating system, which means more costs and maintenance.

Cooling in Summer, Heating in Winter

Heat pumps revolutionize both cooling and heating. They cool your home in the summer and heat it in the winter—all with one device! This remarkable versatility provides greater comfort and lower costs year-round. Choosing one device instead of two is not only practical but also a sustainable decision, reducing our carbon footprint.

Almost Silent Operation

Unlike noisy air conditioners that disrupt our daily lives and sleep, high-quality heat pumps operate almost silently. They also don’t cause vibrations in living spaces.

Less Maintenance

With air conditioners, you need to maintain sufficient gas levels, but with heat pumps, this is not the case. You’ll also be maintaining only one device instead of two, reducing costs and saving time.

Zone Cooling

Heat pumps allow you to set different temperatures in different rooms, fully customizing each space’s climate to your needs. Achieving the same functionality with air conditioners would require expensive multi-split systems or multiple units.

Remote and App Control

With a heat pump, you can easily adjust your home’s temperature using the CLOUD.KRONOTERM app, switch between cooling and heating modes, and even cool your house remotely before you arrive. You can also set operating schedules that fit your daily life without having to think about your home’s temperature.

Aesthetic Design

Forget about visually unappealing outdoor air conditioning units on your beautiful house’s facade! With one device for both cooling and heating, you’ll need just one outdoor unit or none at all with a geothermal heat pump. At KRONOTERM, we focus on the aesthetic design of our outdoor units, ensuring your surroundings remain visually pleasing.

Passive or Active Cooling?

Passive or surface cooling works by circulating cold water through pipes embedded in the floor or walls. These pipes serve for underfloor heating in winter and cooling in summer. Since surfaces in the room are cooled, there is no unpleasant draft, and temperature distribution is even. Surface cooling is effective in transitional periods but may become insufficient during extreme heatwaves. As this method does not dehumidify the air, special attention must be paid to humidity levels, which should not be too high. Additionally, floors should not be overly cooled to prevent condensation.

Active cooling uses convectors, similar to standard air conditioners, and is suitable for those who need more intensive cooling. This system ensures effective cooling even on the hottest days, maintaining a constant low temperature. Ceiling, wall, or floor convectors provide dynamic cooling with dehumidification using cold water supplied by the heat pump. Fans distribute the cool air throughout the space.

Combined Cooling for Cool Days and Comfortable Nights

To cope with daytime heat and ensure quiet, draft-free sleep at a pleasant temperature, you can use combined cooling. During the day, when cooling needs are greater, use convectors, and at night maintain the temperature with silent, draft-free surface cooling.

Geothermal Heat Pumps: The Most Efficient and Eco-Friendly Cooling Solution

Geothermal heat pumps, like ETERA, are the most efficient way to cool your home. Using the constant temperature of the earth, which usually stays below 15 degrees Celsius even in the summer, they offer unparalleled efficiency during the hottest days. Compared to air-to-water heat pumps like ADAPT, which use air with temperatures that can exceed 35 degrees Celsius, geothermal heat pumps consume significantly less energy. This can reduce your electricity consumption by 25 to 50 percent compared to air conditioners, directly reflecting on your electricity bills while significantly reducing the environmental impact.

Do Heat Pumps Work During Heatwaves?

The answer is a resounding YES! Heat pumps are designed to function effectively even during the most extreme heatwaves.
