The abandoned section of Portarlington Railway Station in Ireland, where trains have been stopping since 1847, will be revitalized into a vibrant office space after renovations. The refurbished areas will be heated by a modern cascade of two ADAPT heat pumps.
These innovative heat pumps will ensure a comfortable warmth through underfloor heating and radiators, and provide hot water in the beautifully restored spaces where the railway company Iarnrod Eireann will set up its offices.
Since the offices will only be used during specific parts of the day, the heating for sanitary water will automatically operate daily from 7 AM to 6 PM. Optimal room temperatures will be maintained by three KT-1 thermostats installed in each operational zone.
