A small town primary school in Slovenia had been struggling with a persistent and inconvenient challenge: a lack of hot water for sanitary facilities and the kitchen.

With more than 200 students and numerous staff members relying daily on the school’s facilities, coupled with a busy kitchen preparing meals, ensuring a sufficient supply of hot water was both a logistical challenge and a financial burden. Peak demand during breaks, snack times, and lunch preparation further strained the system.

SMAX

SMAX Ensures a Reliable Hot Water Supply

The installation of the SMAX sanitary heat pump provided a permanent solution to the school’s hot water shortage. Designed specifically for buildings with a high number of users, the SMAX heat pump delivers excellent energy efficiency and ensures a continuous hot water supply—even during peak demand. With a capacity of 450 liters, it can produce up to 720 liters of hot water at 40 °C. For larger demands, the system supports cascading multiple units, allowing two, three, or more heat pumps to work together seamlessly. Additionally, extra electric heaters can be used to enhance heating capacity further.

This environmentally friendly technology not only reduces energy costs but also guarantees uninterrupted access to hot water throughout the day—a necessity for the school.
