Choosing the right placement for the KT-2A room controller is crucial for ensuring your heat pump operates efficiently and accurately. In addition to providing essential support functions, the KT-2A acts as a thermostat, continuously measuring room temperature and adjusting heating or cooling accordingly. Proper installation enhances comfort, improves system efficiency, and prevents unnecessary energy usage.

Key Guidelines for Proper Installation

  1. Avoid Heat Sources – Do not install the KT-2A near radiators, stoves, heating units, air conditioners, or other heat-emitting appliances. Excess heat from these sources can cause incorrect temperature readings, leading to inefficient system operation.
  2. Keep It Away from Direct Sunlight – Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause the sensors to overheat, leading to inaccurate temperature readings and improper system adjustments.
  3. Avoid Drafts and Airflows – Do not install the controller in areas with strong airflow, such as near open windows, fans, or air vents. Drafts can lead to falsely low temperature readings, affecting system performance. 
  4. Place It Centrally in the Room – The recommended installation height is about 1.5 meters from the floor on an interior wall. This positioning ensures the most accurate temperature measurements, as air movement at this level is minimal. 
  5. Keep It Away from Electrical Devices – Avoid placing the KT-2A near electrical devices that generate heat or electromagnetic interference, as these can disrupt its functionality.
