1X LOWER HEATING COSTS

A four-member family moved into their new house in Polzela in 2013. The house, covering 140 m2, was built according to the principles of classic and energy-efficient construction. It features good insulation, low-energy design, underfloor heating, a solar power plant, high-quality triple-glazed windows, and a central air recovery system. In 2023, they decided to replace their KRONOTERM geothermal heat pump, even though it had fully met their expectations for heating, cooling, and hot water production. The replacement was not necessary but desired, as Dani, being in the industry, keeps up with trends and innovations. When KRONOTERM introduced the new geothermal heat pump ETERA, he knew he wanted it in his home.

HIGHER INITIAL INVESTMENT FOR GREATER SAVINGS

Despite a slightly higher initial investment, the couple decided to replace the geothermal heat pump in February 2023, confident that the exceptional efficiency of the ETERA heat pump would result in additional savings. Operating costs with the previous KRONOTERM heat pump were already so low that the overall costs (including the system investment) became lower than the total costs of other heating systems after a few years. Additionally, expenses such as purchasing a storage tank, building a chimney, cleaning, and chimney sweep costs, required by other heating systems, were eliminated. Heating costs with ETERA practically halved. From February 2023 to the end of the heating season, heating costs were half of the previous year. Lower costs are not the only positive change that came with the heat pump replacement. Dani emphasized, “ETERA is quieter, easier to operate, and the installation was easier and faster. The geothermal heat pump ETERA improved the appearance of the boiler room, as it occupies minimal floor space compared to the previous one. All its components are located in a compact indoor unit, occupying only 0.5 m2.”

ETERA AND ITS ADVANTAGES

The ETERA heat pump used by Dani’s family boasts numerous advantages. Designed for a long lifespan, its modular design allows for easy upgrades, maintenance, and part replacement, ensuring reliable and trouble-free operation for decades. With its high technological sophistication and exceptional efficiency, it sets new standards in sustainable heating and cooling. Its seasonal efficiency when using groundwater reaches an incredible 8.48* (condition: low-temperature heating regime in an average climatic environment). This means that for every 1 kWh of electrical energy invested, you get 8.48 kWh of useful heat. Such high efficiency is currently not achievable with any similar device on the market, as it surpasses its category by almost an incredible 30%. Moreover, the ETERA system ensures stable operation, reduces the impact of fluctuations in fuel prices, and contributes to maintaining the stability and sustainability of electrical networks in the future due to its ability to efficiently use energy from renewable sources—geothermal energy. This means it not only reduces heating costs but also actively contributes to reducing the load on electrical networks and decreases dependence on fossil fuels, positively impacting the environment and the sustainability of the energy sector.

CLOUD.KRONOTERM FOR HOME COMFORT

Dani is particularly pleased with the CLOUD.KRONOTERM application, available on all KRONOTERM heat pumps. The application allows monitoring the heat pump’s operation, diagnosing issues, and tracking indoor and outdoor temperatures. The family of four values the comfort and warmth of their home, which is always a top priority. Regular maintenance services are carried out every two years, during which technicians inspect the heat pump, seals, gas levels, clean filters, and check settings.

The couple would undoubtedly recommend the geothermal heat pump ETERA to others. By replacing their heat pump, the family ensured even greater living comfort, reduced heating costs, and minimized their environmental impact. It is undoubtedly an example that will inspire others looking for efficient and sustainable heating solutions for their homes. For more information, you can contact us HERE.

Its seasonal efficiency when using groundwater reaches an exceptional 8.48. This means that for every 1 unit of electrical energy invested in the heat pump, you get a remarkable 8.48 units of useful heat. For better understanding, the average efficiency of geothermal heat pumps is around 5-6 COP. The geothermal heat pump ETERA allows an incredibly efficient conversion of energy into heat.
