From the very beginning of the planning process, the owners of this home, nestled in an exceptional natural setting with scenic views and a nearby stream, had a clear vision: to create a home that would not only be aesthetically refined and connected to nature but also provide long-term comfort, energy efficiency and sustainability.
The architectural design of the house and its carefully landscaped garden called for thoughtful decisions when selecting all technical systems, particularly the heating system. Conventional heating solutions did not meet the owners’ expectations, as they would have meant greater dependence on fossil fuels, higher operating costs and more extensive interventions in the surroundings, which the owners wanted to preserve as much as possible.
In addition, the system needed to provide reliable space heating and domestic hot water throughout the year, even during the colder winter months, without fluctuations in comfort or the need for constant monitoring or additional maintenance.
The house features a contemporary design with open-plan living spaces, large glazed surfaces and a direct connection to the outdoors, requiring a heating system that operates efficiently, quietly and in harmony with the living environment. The challenge was therefore to find a technically advanced, energy-efficient solution discreet enough to preserve the architectural design of the house and the surrounding landscape.
